I'm wanting to find some of those rims for my 1998. The only thing is I feel like the tires are too small for the wheel wells on those bigger rims. Have you looked into how much more tire you can fit under stock 4x4 suspension before there's rubbing?
I found some third gen 17" wheels on craigslist and wanted to know if they would fit. After hours of searching through various threads I am left even more confused on whether they fit or they need spacers to fit or if you have to bore something or the other out, or what. I need definite answers.
Was it the "Intercepter" type wheels with the Michelin tires on them you found? If so, yes, they will fit the 2nd Gen just fine. The tire guys said they were a little tight going over the hub but, they have the same center whole as the ones that came off.

Yeah. But they're black and have chrome caps. I like them enough I guess and the tires are in great shape for less than the cost of 1 tire I got all four and an easy to find tire size.
