what is the metric size that is equal to a 33/12.50/20 The tire shop says its a 285 but that is only 31 inches? Im trying to decide whether to buy a 16 inch rim or keep my 20's. Also another question - since you cant run 35's on like a 16 inch rim without regearing because of the weight of the tire, couldnt you run it on a 20 inch rim since it would be alot less rubber? Im just curious about this. Im currently running a 285/50/20

315/50/20 would be about 33/12.5

If you want to run 35's, you are gonna have to regear. It doesn't matter what size rim you use. It's tire diameter that determines over all gearing... (final drive ratio) 3.55's and 35 inch tires just don't do well together. If you want to do 35's, you will want to go with 4.56 or even 4.88 gears.

ok, I was just wandering on the 35's, I was thinking of getting 16 inch ion alloy rims because I can get 4 new rims, 16X10 for $400 then the tires would be a little cheaper

Ok, I finally had some spare time and remembered to get the pics.

The backspacing is 3.5". You can see they stick out a bit, but I like it.
