Maybe I missed it, but does this happen when coming to a stop or accelerating or just cruising at constant speed? My truck shudders when slowing down applying brakes, but my brakes feel solid and not warped, as in the pedal doesn't pulsate on my foot when it happens. I don't get it. Steering linkages?

mine does this also chromed, I thought that maybe since it has 20 inch rims and 285 tires that it was just no weight there. lol BUt I was out last night going thru a drive thru and had to make a hard left turn( very slowly) and I heard some clicking coming from my front left wheel, could it be the U joints making it do that? I think that is what I heard clicking

you need to add your info to your sig so we know what your riding in..but typically u-joint(s) or wheel hub assembly and depends on your rig, bearings

Hi all,
I am new here. I have been having a similar problem. At 30mph to about 40 I get a vibration or shutter and I noticed that the 4x4 shifter will shake back and forth. When I get to 40mph it stops. I have had the truck for about 7 months now. It has new plenum gasket, complete new exhaust and O2 sensors, rear drive shaft u-joints, new brakes all around. Right now the front drive shaft is not installed

It's constant whether towing a trailer or not. Is there a proper way to check those u joints? I know for the driveline u joints I can just check for slop by grabbing ahold of the driveline at the joints and see if they have play but not quite sure its as easy for the ones on the front axle...for the record I believe I still have factory ujoints all around, unless the previous owner got aftermarket ones that are sealed with no grease zerk
