Ok, I have my buddy who is a mobile mechanic ASE certified etc, coming out to fix my truck tonight. Now the question is, he is having me buy the brake line from autozone, I am buying a couple 6ft long pieces and 1 30" piece to be safe. It is 3/16 brake line, he said he can put the bends in it etc. Now my question is what are the fitting sizes for the front and rear normally? Is it all 3/16?

The line itself is 3/16ths, The nuts on each end need to be matched up.

They are either standard, or metric..... but, the line will come with the correct size nuts on the end.

Ended up just replacing ALL of the brake lines while we were at it! problem is fixed now, and stopping is much better. Didn't realize just how bad all the lines were until we swapped them. Also I just got my build sheet through the local dodge dealer and they said my truck has a few recalls that were never adressed..... #1 being the ignition switch wire behind the steering column.... apparently they have a tendency to overheat and burn. specifically when you use your blower for heat or a/c. Well it just so happens the day this all happend and something plastic smelling burned, It was very cold and rainy so I was using defrost on high and shortly after this happend.

Now that I have checked, I realize my blower only works on 2 settings....OFF, and MAX. So I am thinking I found the BURNING plastic behind my steering column problem. Will keep this updated once I have the dealer do the recall work monday!

I like to pretend I got my name from the Pink Floyd song.... but, in all reality, your supposition is closer to the mark..... Yes, I was in the military. USAF, Security Specialist. (cop......) I got to walk around with cool guns, and watch B-52's rust.

Replacing the blower motor resistor will most likely cure that problem.
