Completely stumped on DTC's
OK, did major work on the engine, including new injectors, then it started but ran terribly rough. PCM set code for low voltage from TPS. So I unplugged the TPS and it started and ran fine. So I replaced the TPS. Next it gives me the code for Injector #7 open circuit. So i swapped the wires around for injectors number 5 and 7, clear the code, and voila! Engine runs like a beaut. Oh, and it set code for high voltage for TPS, as well as high O2 sensor voltage... So swaped wires, reset codes, and started it. Run it for a while, great smooth running wiht lots of power, shut it off, come back out, and PCM sets code for injector no.1 open circuit. So swap wires around for nos. 1 and 3 and PCM says "Good." Engine runs great now! No more codes. Yet. Any idea what is going on? I am guessing it will head to the other side of the engine now. It runs just great until the PCM sets code, then the engine is rough, and a popping noise comes from the engine. Really need help! Gotta get this thing running. Thanks in advance for your help! --Keagan
New heads, new push rods, new injectors, new belly pan. new O2 sensors, true dual exhaust (no cats), new injectors, Plenum mod, new water pump, new radiator hoses. I think that was pretty much it.
Hey Keagan, glad to hear you as least made it through the major work. Did you label all the injector wires before you pulled them? I'm sure you know but you've been doing this with the -bat cable off? The PCM does need a bit to relearn so maybe time driving will right the problems. Fingers X'ed
Ok i was wondering about the plenum...
And i agree with taking the neg battery cable off and resetting the comp...
Last thing...would a picture of my engine bay help you at all to see if you crossed wires

Well I guess time will tell..I was just wondering about the labeling..the injector wires are kinda lined up anyways..I have read thet they can be a bit sensitive at the connector points..IDK..as always looking foward to the pics..later bro..
