Question INTERMITTENT ENGINE MISS - 5.2 - 4x4

The truck has had this issue for the last few years. It wasn't a problem for me since up until now I only used it around town an never been stranded. But recently I've pressed her into cummter service for a while. The issue is no matter what the temp. or driving conditions every ounce in a while ( not every day ) the engine just cuts off for a split second it recovers instantaneously. I have not looked for a cause yet and I'm looking for some advice as to what and where?
NOTE: the truck does have an after market remote starter unit installed.

No trouble codes, And I did find a wire leading to the coil pack broken off the stake on connector, I didn't have time this weekend to trace it out, but it does look liek its for the remote system, NOT factory installed.

Probably the tach sensor for the remote start, so that is knows when the engine has revved up and started. Aftermarket systems either wire it into the coil, or one of the injectors.

Is the remote start working properly?

Default durango misfire

I have a 1999 durango 5.9 and I have the exact same issue. I don't have any remote start and the truck is completely stock. I suspected crank sensor and replaced it with generic sensor. The sensor I pulled out was hitting the flexplat/convertor and the new one did as well. I shimmed it before I tried to start it so no damage and the truck wouldn't start. I returned the sensor bought one of a different brand still hit but with shimming it ran but poorly. I adjusted the shimming and it changed how it ran. Now it runs great but on occasion it has the split second hard miss, also when it does that the tach will usually jump up. It has run this way for 2 years now. Never stalls or anything runs great and sometimes goes weeks without the miss. Anyone else had anything similar or no what it might be? I was suspecting crank sensor or cam sensor
