Motor seems to have lost power

Default Motor seems to have lost power

My 318 seems to have lost some power in the time it hase been sittin in my driveway, any suggestions on how to got it back it has 139,000, i plan on doin a full rebuild just cash is a little tight right now so just tryin to restore some power till i can afford to do so

Yes, that's the only plenum thread... If you notice you are low on oil frequently then you most likely have blown plenum.

yes i know thats the only plentum thread, just want to be sure i was thinkin bout the right thing.

How would engine oil in the cylinders rob you of power you ask?
Engine oil isn't a very good combustion ingredient in our engines really...

Not to mention the oil being burned will clog the cat resulting in exhaust restriction.
And the fact that the blown gasket is a vacuum leak.

If the gasket is shot then oil is sucked from the motor into the intake, which fouls out spark plugs, clogs catalytic converters, kills O2 Sensors,etc.... All of which rob power.

So much destruction from a simple blown gasket....

I doubt your motor needs a complete rebuild, it really doesn't have that many miles on it if it was relatively maintained.

Do plenum fix, an do a full tune up
