Default Big Truck Look For Cheap?

I'm short on money and i was wandering if my truck would look good with a 3 inch body lift and 2 inch wheel spacers? I just don't have enough for a big suspension lift so i figured that would give my truck a bigger stance.

What do you guys think?

Sure a 3" body lift will make it stand up more. I am not a person that likes wheel spacers one bit, probly find a used set of wheels for the same price as spacers. There are some cheap 3" liftkits on the market, some use coilspring spacers others use new coilsprings, I think Skyjacker has a 3" coil kit for around $500 not much more than the body lift and ezr to install as well.

you could go with 2500 HD coils and add-a-leafs. that'll give you around 2-3" i believe

personally I'd go for an inexpensive coil spacer and add a leaf set before doing just a body lift. Body lifts usually leave ugly gaps between the body and frame rails, sure there are brackets to raise the bumpers to take care of those gaps, and there are gap fill panels you can buy or you could fab up your own, but the total cost for doing it and having it look decent usually doesn't seem to be more cost effective than just a 2" add a leaf and coil spacer, which as has already been said, is simpler to install.

other thing to think about, body lifts just raise how high you sit in the truck and make room for larger tires, but the lift itself doesnt give you any more clearance (really only important if you have any wheeling in mind), where as any suspension lift will gain you clearance , raise your ride hight, AND make room for bigger tires.

Dont get me wrong, body lifts have their place, just my $0.02 is every time I've been on a budget I've still opted for a budget suspension lift rather than the body lift.

Id get the 2 1/2 inch spacers for the front...you can find a decent pair for around $60-$75.....and add a leaf for rear...

2500 springs arent a bad idea either...try http://car-part.com im sure you can find a deal there

no body lift. defeats the purpose and looks kinda ugly. and wheel spacers scare me. just go with 2.5 inch spacer and add-a-leaf for the rear.

Thanks guys for the input but I'll probably get the wheel spacers because i don't drive it offroad any so they shouldn't cause any problem. I just want that wider look on my truck.

But i can get some of those 2500 coil springs off ebay for under 150 but could i get them add-a-leaf kits on there? That seems like a pretty good idea and it's alittle cheaper than my body lift i was going to get and probably easier to put on.

Try fixing your plenum first.
Then lift it.

I'll have to do the plenum sometime but i want it lifted. And i think i'm just going to get the leveling kit in the front but where can i find a 3 inch one? And for the back i might just get a bigger HD block off a 2500 Ram.
