Lord...I left my fan shroud in, I also even left the water pump tube in and took the alternator/Ac bracket off as a unit (I removed the AC pump separately because I have refrigerant still in it and rested it by the coolant reservoir with ac lines still attached, if your ac is empty just leave it on as a unit). I copper permatex'ed every major surface of the intake gaskets top & bottum of each gasket surface and especially the replacement front & rear cork gaskets, but was smart to use just enough so it wouldn't leak out of the intake edges & be visable once installation was complete. The Keg manifold can be heavy when you're leaning over the engine bay with your knees digging into the radiator support bracket trying to be careful to line things up during installation but is easy if you have the rubber seals that seat into the block, mine came with cork gaskets which could move if intake was rested on them and then seated but I just lathered them up with trusty ol' permatex and got a good first try setting of the intake on the engine. I've done it 5 times without a failure or leak on several Ram's, highly recommend the Copper Permatex with new intake gaskets.

I had the intake off in 45 minutes and on in about the same, but clean up & Prep was the most time intensive process of it all at about an hour to clean the intake & plenum gasket surface with a wire wheel to make sure everything was nice & clean and free of oily residue that may inhibit copper permatex sealing with the new gasket on the plenum belly pan.

thats the sh*tty part! mine came with the "awesome" rubber gaskets with the little ***** that go in the holes on the block! lol still didnt work apparently. but thank you for the copper permatex idea. i was wondering what kind of RTV to use.

I didn't even use those front and rear intake gaskets with the little nipples. I just laid down a thick bead of permatex in place of them and it worked great. I let it set for 30 minutes before I put the intake back on. Have a buddy help you lower it back on. it's much easier.
