Default 97 1500 cel

I am getting a CEL and the code reads "peak primary circuit current not achieved with the maximum dwell time." Can anyone tell me what is causing this. I have to get emissions this month and they will fail me if i don't get it fixed.

The code is 043. I've checked all the connections and can't find anything loose. I've replaced my cap rotor wires plugs and ignition coil all in the last few months.

someone awhile back reported that code and it turned out to be a burned plug wire on the manifold. can also be fouled plug, bad dist cap, etc, etc.

I pulled my coil and the primary and secondary resistance both were low, which is dumb cause i bought the thing 5 months ago when i replaced the cap and rotor. So im going to take that back, get a new one and see what happens. Does anyone have any recommendations on brands?

I dont think it would be a bad wire because they are a month old, i put all new wires in when i did my plenum repair, but im gonna check anyway since the brand new coil is bad. im going to check my relay and wires to the coil to just to be safe. ill let you guys know what i find.

i cant get a bwd where i get my parts but i can get delphi or accel. i know alot of people say use delphi when it comes to censors. which one should i do 10$ diffrence.

its frustrating when you get new things and they dont work! I had my crank shaft censor go out about a year ago and ever since then its just been one problem after another. this is the last code i have to fix and hopefully the last!
