cat colgging if smell like stinky eggs, rough idle then clears when driving, fuel fillter, should check fuel psi at idle...other bad smell could be a squirrel in the tailpipe

+1 on clogging cat. And most likely bad o2's also. And we all know the reason that happens.

It's oxygen sensor season. Replace yours. NTK or Denso brands only.

To prove it out: At the point that it begins to spit and sputter, rev the engine to about 1500RPM and hold it there for 30 seconds or so. That will warn the upstream oxygen sensor with exhaust gas. Let up on the throttle and it should idle nicely again. If that happens, replace the sensor and drive happy.

ok well i tried a few things on my truck...no codes not even on a scanner while driving...fuel pressure ok...cleaned throttle body and my mechanic said he tried that motor that is in the iac i think he said but that wasnt it...he said he did look down throttle body and noticed a little oil down there but not a lot...he thinks its the plenum gasket...he says he thinks its acting up when its first started up and after it warms up the plenum gasket kinda seals back up when it expands...what do you guys think about that???...sorry took so long to respond but a lot of things all going on at once right now!
