Default Putting Manual tranny in place of factory Auto

So, I am wondering how it would go if I took the 46RE auto and 231HD transfer case out of a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L and put a NV4500 with the 241HD transfer case from a 1994 dodge ram 3500. Any ideas? Yeah Yeah I know.. Would have to make a few mods... Funny enough is that the firewall has provisions for the clutch already...

Really no modding is required. Just driveshaft lengths I think

NV3500 or NV4500? Or putting either (NV3500 or NV4500) the same? Just want that to be clear.

The procedure is the same but im pretty sure there are some differences. You'll need more than just the tranny and tcase obviously. The wiring harness, pedal assmebly, shifter, and new everything else...maybe combo ujoint for the rear shaft? I can't really search around for nv4500 swaps myself because im on my phone, but just search on here, pavementsucks, and pirate4x4 and you should be able to find all the info you need.

Yeah I figured I would need more than just tranny and tcase...One place told me they can get everything I need for it for about $2500... Not too bad. I would prolly just mod my current harness... Wonder what the PCM would think...

Hey K, so you got the new PCM? I if so is it in yet? Like others stated there's a lot of swaps done with threads on here..your gonna have a spline issue with the shaft, length not sure.

Hey Patt, Yes i did get the PCM installed.. Turned out to be a bad battery cable... I feel like a complete idiot... Oh well.. I am making one and then will finish installing it on Monday... Then off to get the transfer case/tranny issue taken care of...
