Default towing on a rebuilt engine

So I had a rebuilt engine put in 600 miles ago. I talked to the sales guy or who ever he was on the phone from atk where I got the engine and he said it was rebuilt more than once so I haul propane with it.

I take it he means I can't put the engine in a propane hauler, but anyway, do any of you guys think that after 600 miles I should be able to tow a 3500lbs boat. I'll most likely try to keep the speed low like 55mph.

No clue to what take means?? And the issue wouldn't be with going 55-75mph it would be more about lower speeds in lower gears and going up hills. But it's broken in by 500mi. it's just a matter of how you treat it, oil changes, no wot, warm ups, ect..

so do you think it is okay or not? I changed the oil at 200 miles and recently at 560 miles. I don't usually go WOT with it except a few times on the highway for passing. And as far as warming up this truck takes more than 20 minutes to warm up to normal operating temp. For some reason even when it was new it took this long.

You should add you info so we know what truck you have..You should not have warm her up for 20 mins. An idle time like that can't be good for it. If you've had it at wot then you'll be fine towing the boat. Just go easy on the throttle for the next several hundred miles..
