Has anyone ever put a long bed on a short bed chassis?I can weld so Thats not an issue,I just like the long bed look so if its too much of a hassle no bigge.
Anyways anybody?Thanks
I think long beds have a longer wheelbase. Youd probably have to lenghten the frame. Unless the truck is an extended or quad cab. But then the cab would have to be changed also.
Your chassis is too short and so is your wheelbase. To make it go you'd have to hack a section out ahead of the fenders, then weld it back in behind the fenders, and it would look hillbilly as hell like that. And probably be illegal, too. But even if legal, it'd still be hillbilly. So just don't even think it again.
