Default tranny issues

I have A 95 2500 F25o 4x4 at. I know they were plauged with tranny problems but this one does not have a problem getting going but it does not want to shift into high gear. I am thinking it n/a may be a computer issue. I still have strong reverse though.what do you think

Welcome to DF
I know you have a 1995, is it a 2500 Ram or a F250 truck? And size engine do you have and also do you know which transmission you have.

It is a ram 2500 with the v10and auto tranny. That first message was a text error. There is a little button on the dash that looks like I can choose to run it with or with out overdrive. That button seems like it's stuck in the off position. What do you think.

When the overdrive light is on, then you can not go inti 4th gear/OD. If the light is off, then you are allowed to upshift into 4th gear. Now if you are not going into 4th gear, then yes it could be a computer, or an output sensor. But also could be a bad seal too. You would need to hook up a 300 psi gauge and check the pressure. If you need the test procedures for all the circuits. Let me know. I'll also move your post to the Ram SRT-10 section.

Thank you for the info.I would defiantly appreciate any and all info you can give me on the goofy dodge v10 and the process of testing my tranny issues. Plus I just got a 98 ram 1500 with the 5.2l v8. I currently have no spark. I replaced the coil and checked most of my wiring.I think it could be my crank sensor or pcm.both of these are really expensive and I hope there is some magic answer you can give me or a good direction to move in. Thank you for the help

You would need to make another post in the 2nd Gen Ram section. My question would be, Was there any work done on the 5.2 that cause the no spark. And does the cluster light up and shows No Bus?
