1500 leveling kit Questions
Hey guys,
I'm interested in puting in a leveling kit on my 1999 Ram 1500 Sport (5.9). The kit I want has 3" coil spacers in the front and 2" blocks in the rear.
Here is the kit

I herd somewere that when you install coil spacers on these trucks that the whole front end moves over and you need an adjustable trac bar to get it to move back over. Is this true? If so what is a good one to go with.?
I also figure I should put in new shocks as mine are worn out. I'm assuming I would want to put some in that are designed for a 2-3" lift. Anyone have any input on some decent shocks? There are some sets of Ruff country for a pretty decent price on ebay as well.
Just want to make sure I have all the parts I need before I get er done.

I wanted the same kit man but I think I decided otherwise. I would go to hellbent.com and get the 2.5 inch front kit that comes with the anti sway bar drop brackets for 110 shipped. I been told stacking blocks in the rear isn't good especially to go offroading which I think in that kit you have to stack. I'm actually going with the 2.5 inch hellbent kit and seein of I can find some 4-5 in solid blocks for the back so i won't have to stack it.
I also had questions on shocks and stabilizers too haha. I'm not sure if I want skyjacker, rancho, or tuff country. I heard nitrogen is better than hydrogen shocks but I'm new to the stuff and trying to decide on what to get too.

Over 3" of lift will start to cause the shift in axle placement that the OP is referring to. 3" is pushing it, but many people do it without any reported problems. ANY change in ride height results in change in suspension geometry though, so be aware.

Hey Guys,
I picked up the levleling kit, and some rough country shocks that are designed for the 2-3" lift.
I will be installing this weekend along with a hughes plenum plate.
I'll post some before and afters for everyone and of course some plenum pics.
