power loss

Default power loss

i have a 98 ram 1500 5.2. am running 33'' tires with 40 seires flowmaster and K&N CAI. before i had the flowmaster and the CAI and was running the 33'' i had plenting of power could pull anything with no problem. now after the up grade she dogs on me bad, has no pulling power at all. i replaced the cat about 6 months ago and took it to a shop to have them look in to it and they found nothing wrong with it. what could be my problem.

So, all you did was add a cai and a muffler and now you have no power?

Few problems.. fix the plenum. Clogged cat. Flowmaster is restrictive. Stock gearing

I would try unhooking the battery for awhile. Let it relearn the idle and all that since you changed your intake. Maybe that would help? Can't see why just adding a CAI and a muffler would make you lose power, unless....your plenum just **** the bed.

ok, i have reset the computer, didn't do anything. all check the plenum.

is there anyway to clean the plenum with out taking it a part?
