Cracking Dash on 1997 Dodge Ram 1500

Default Cracking Dash on 1997 Dodge Ram 1500

Is there any avenue available for financial assistance on this issue? I should say upfront I have been a Dodge man for all my 60+ yrs. I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 I bought new with 150k miles. The dash has multiple holes in it and its getting to the point I fear I will start getting damage to the electrical system. Due to Chrysler's failure to properly address this dash damage issue with a recall, I would be very reluctant to buy another or recommend a Dodge to a friend. If anyone know any recourse please sent me a email.

You disown the entire dodge lineup of vehicles because of cracked plastic dash on your 1997 Ram?? A 15 year old Ram? Mine had a broken dash too. I spent $30 and bought a carpeted dash pad to cover it up. Looks good as new.

A new dash from LMC Truck is less than $250 delivered to your door. Man up and deal with it.

You can search for replacements like UU mentioned. LMCTruck is not the only vendor. Some ppl have had luck in the junkyards too.

By the way, have you checked out the plenum gasket issue, which is a TSB worthy conundrum?
