Default Plenum Time

Well its time I do the plenum on my truck, i thought it had been previously done by the PO but i guess it wasnt. Truck is sluggish as all get out and makes a nice pinging when i hit the gas good. Reading around i found i will definitely need a new plenum gasket, new plugs, a new front O2 sensor and possibly a new cat. Anything else I should look at doing while i have the motor ripped open? Forgive me if this is in another thread, ive skimmed the plenum thread and been searching others in the forum and this is what ive found so far.

List:
plenum plate
Water pump
double roller Timing Chain
180 degree t-stat
Coolant by-pass hose
cap
rotor
copper plugs
wires
manifold bolts
throttle body mod
kegger mod
air filter

Added a list of all suggested items to OP. Thanks guys, gonna start picking the items up. Any suggested replacement part brands over another? Also planning on doing the kegger mod from this thread: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-mod-diy.html

Get a thicker aluminum plenum plate, ebay is cheaper than hughes.
Get new intake manifold bolts (I highly recommend it, they are only 20 or so bucks)
Mod your throttle body as well. Search for a DIY.
Might as well throw a new air filter in there as well.
Copper core spark plugs are the best for these trucks.
Oh and make sure the timing chain is a double roller.

Ok so got back from my auto parts store, I will def be ordering some things online haha.
water pump - $105
180 degree tstat - $10
Cap and Rotor - $30
Spark Plug Wires - $75?
Manifold Bolts - $70?

Wasnt able to get a double roller timing set through them for whatever reason. Ordering plenum online so didnt ask. Does this seem about right? I am in Canada keep in mind.

@stewie - there is always beer at my house. always. i have one hidden in the garage for emergency use only!

I was about to say oh ****! but I see you're in Canada.

I got a water pump with lifetime warranty for $37.
Intake manifold bolts from the local Dodge dealer for around $15 i think.

$75 spark plug wires???? WTF!

Get a Cloyes Double Roller from rockauto.com, there is a sticky thread with a discount code too.

check rockauto for some of those things. i think you should be able to get most of it for less than $200. just have to try getting it all from 1 warehouse. there is a doorman intake manifold gasket kit that come with all the gaskets and part you need to do the plenum gasket fix. i don't know what the quality is like but i was thinking about ordering one for my truck.
