Hey guys, I have a 2000 ram 1500 with the 5.9 360. Today, I noticed that after driving for awhile, when I turn my tuck off what appears to be smoke or steam starts coming out of the 2 middle heater/ac vents. It doesnt smell like anything is burning, just concerns me. Everything under the hood seems to look normal. Please help me diagnose asap so i can get the problem fixed.

 

Heater core most likely... Passenger floorboard wet?

 

You need to find out if it smoke or steam first.

 

I'll go with heater core. Very common problem. But yes, make sure it's not actually smoke. Does the blower motor work on all settings?

 

Yes, the blower works on all settings. Unfortunately, it is the heater core so i habe bypassed it to prevent interior damage until i get it fixed this weekend

 

Where do you live. I have a crack team that can tackle this job with beers in 4 hours or less. lol

I have a crack team. Feed them beers for 4 hours and they can.... well, probably not replace a dash.
