Default lol i'm screwed

Today i decided i was done with the step rails on my truck in the middle of me doing it i noticed i was late to pick my kid up from school and had the bolts out already that went from cab to frame so i took my other truck when i got back my wife decided she was gonna go to the store in my dodge.. without the bolts back in.. the cab slide forward on the frame and towards the drivers side a little bit the bolts went back in somewhat easily but it seems like the cab keeps sliding a half inch or so here or there when i take a turn or slow down should i be worried about the extra play there or should i be alright?

Maybe it's just me, but I certainly would not be driving around a truck with a cab that was moving around. Gotta be something unsafe about that....

Possible the bolts were replaced with longer ones for the steps?

Yeah man I'm taking the mounting brackets off the rails to cover the extra gap from longer bolts I just didn't think the cab would move side to side like that even with longer bolts though

That's totally strange. My truck had nerf bars on it when I purchased it, had them on/off 2 or 3 times before I did away with them, and never had the cab move...

I bet your wife didn't move the truck without the cab bolted down either...
