can a auto trans from a 98 ram 1500 318ci be swapped into a 99 ram 2500 360c.i, both 4x4?

 

Should be able to. I wanna say there is a slight difference but I don't remember what. And it has to do with the engines, not the chassis spec...

 

well my trannys ****ed but i know a guy who has one with under 50k kms on it for 600 obo but its from a ram 1500 318ci, ill wait for a more definitive answer, im hoping it is dooable. and for those of you on here who recognize me, yes its my 2nd tranny in under 30 days in this truck

i just blew over a grand on my kids for x mas + bought my gf an engagement ring for x mas + just had a used tranny installed installed less than 4 weeeks ago that has already failed me, . lol I am in no position to buy anything with the word viper in it, i need used/cheap/realiable,

Your just jealous you don't got a mega viper lol.. the transmission should bolt up but the transfer case and spline count may be another story...

Hey, now, at least I haven't been through 4 t-cases and had one trans blow up catastrophically.
