Default 42, 46, or 48RE

1999 dodge ram 2500, 360ci magnum, 4x4, Dana 60's front and rear from the factory w 4:10 gearing,

which tranny should i have, 42re, 46re or 48re

Factory? 46RE.


With enough modifications you could install the 48RE IIRC.

48 internals will go into the 46, for the most part... but, the 47/48 case won't bolt to a v-8.
