There should be at least 3/4" of ubolt threads past the nut when tqd. Glad your not on the road near me. Buy the right parts for the job.
First, there was barely if even 3/4 of an inch on mine from factory. Second that 3/4 of an inch is doing absolutely nothing, so way is it needed. All the holding threads are in the nut, anything exposed is not doing anything. As long as your using the entire nut.... It's good.

Just make sure you have 12" sticking out after the nut is tight, just in case. If your gonna or need to buy some, they should be square bolts 2 1/2 in between the legs, measure the length of the one on your truck now, and add 2" unless you want a Badass truck like I see running around with 10" stick down.

Umm yeah i don't know this at the moment. I was under my truck last weekend but didn't take a good look at them. All I know is its all original with a 3.5" or so block. (which is also original)

ok thanks. I'll try to look tomorrow night if i have a chance to pull it in the shop at work. I know my truck came with the tow package from the factory so i'm not sure whether or not it has aditional leaf srings.
