Default 46re rebuild question

I just got almost done assembling the transmission and am ready to mount the valve body when I noticed there is one snap ring left. It is small between 1 and 2 inches across and round (looks like wire) and it has a flat spot on one end I think its supposed to fit inside something but I'm not sure where it goes. Any help is appreciated I had a traumatic brain injury a few months ago and my memory isn't the best... I can take a picture if that would help.

Here's a blow up diagram. See if you can find it in there.

I don't see it I've looked through all sorts of manuals and stuff. Maybe it went on the outside of the transmission to hold something in?

Can you post a picture? Photobucket or Imageshack or something of that nature...

Figured it out it went on the input shaft as a back up in case a pressed on part came loose.
