Default supercharged 2001 Dodge Ram

looking for input on an idea. trying to put a supercharger off a Buick Riviera with the 3800 v6 into my 01 Ram with the 5.9 Magnum.
think I'm wondering is if the supercharger would flow enough cfm for the v8.

With the right pulley it probably would, trouble is, you would be running it well beyond it's design parameters, and it would most likely grenade fairly quickly. Not to mention trying to even mount the crazy thing.....

At one time, either vortec, or paxton made a bolt on centrifugal supercharger for the Rams, might still be able to find one used somewhere.

Not looking to bust ***** or anything but budget, Ram, and supercharger can't exist in the same sentence.

It's like the Irish Butter my grandmother brought that has no alcohol in it... It just can't happen!

Bolt-on Supercharger kits are available for the '94 - '01 Rams. Here is an example:

^^ And so affordable!

Don't forget to build a nasty trans to go behind it. Not that this project will ever happen...

There also seems to have been a turbo setup available on the Ram Indy Pace truck edition. Happened to trip over it during some recent google searches..

Turbo or Supercharger, like Wombat said, don't forget the transmission. It can barely handle the 5.9L V8 as it stands over a long duration, let alone something with substantially more power like what a supercharged/turboed engine would do.

I was doing some more research and I found that I could run dual of the same supercharger and just make a manifold to handle the boost to go into each side of the v8. and budget and supercharger can go in the same sentence looking into it and it can all go together. Out under 1000 dollars

You would for sure need a good hd trans build. My stock rebuilt trans did not last long behind my new 408, the trans only had about 40k on it when the motor went in and a month later the trans was toast.
