You will either have to pay the dealership, get rid of the SCT and get a SC, go back to stock sized tires or be satisfied with what you have now. The choice is yours and knowing you'll make the right one.

the superchips can be used to JUST alter the pinion ratio.... you don't have to use their tunes.... SCT doesn't deal with that particular setting, so, my guess is, it retains the setting that is in there when you 'read' the stock tune. (either that, or it just does nothing at all with it, ever....)

The question that needs to asked to Hemifever is can the superchips be piggybacked on the SCT and not cause any problems. I would like to hear that answer more or less as a FYI.

I recall some older posts where someone did piggy back the tuners for these reasons. However, no reports of success or other. There have also been reports of ppl with SCT pooping their PCMs. I'm only citing that it has happened and something to be aware of. I'm also NOT saying Schips is the better tuner.

If I were Brian Underscore lol in this situation, I'd go ahead and keep looking for a shop with DRBIII tool (pretty sure that will do it) to make the adjustment at a better price. Maybe piggy back it onto some other service to make it worthwhile on the cost, if that is plausible at all. Maybe if said shop would allow a maximum # of PCM pinon changes in case issues arise or just plain.... "I changed my mind". Let us know Brian underscore as I think a good amount of ppl would like to know.

Edit: I would assume hemifever would NOT want to take any responsibility for comingling tunes.

I know the SnapOn MT2500 scanner can do a lot of things a DRBIII can do so maybe find a garage that has one and ask the question.

Agreed that the SnapOn has some power. I only know that it requires the right "key" I think for Chrysler, but I don't know if it can do this PCM change. You'd think so since it CAN do Fuel Sync.

the superchips tuner goes through 3 separate/independent dialogues.
1st is to read/reset codes.
2nd is to adjust speedo
3rd is to install/remove tunes.

based on the way it acts, it makes me think you can adjust the speedo without changing the tune in any way. i don't know if this VIN locks it or not, but i'd assume so until someone proves otherwise.
