Default Help with a 94 1500 5.2

My truck has had problems running and starting. when i first got the truck a couple months ago it ran great and everything. then bout 2 weeks ago i was at the gas station and my truck was running then jus died on me. i towed it home and my uncle said try replacing the ignition coil and i did and the truck ran fine for a while. then when driving the truck would shut off on me going down the road. it was a manual so i dropped to 4th and let of the clutch and it started back up again. now that i got it home it wont start on but i had my roomamte jump start it cuz of a dead battery and the damn thing started right up but when i take the jumper cables off the truck will run for a while then just die. im by no means mechanically inclined but a quick learner.. any help would be appricated.

What's the volt gauge telling you when the engine is running?

A weak battery will lend some truly odd behavior to your truck....

And working outside? I hate that.

Given the temp, and the age of the battery, I think a new one should be the first step.

Now THAT is a true statement if I have ever seen one.

Good luck, let us know what happens.
