Grab the service manual for your truck from one of the threads where they are posted. (one in tech section, another in DIY section.) page thru to the procedure for R&R the valve body..... there ARE tricks to it, I am just not completely sure what they all are.

i got it...i took for a test drive an noticed it atcuallly slipping i stopped on a hill an tryied to take off an it just sat there with the rpms going up got it back an seen it was atleast a quart maybe quart an half low..its late an truck is almost outta gas it will be monday before i mess with it again (falcons tommorow) is it probable that thats why it felt like that because it was low? just curious now if you drop a pan on one how much fluid does it take to get back to normal? when i got back i put in neatrual an checked it ...also is it supposed to be on the max at bottom of stick where it says low-ok-max or is it supposed to be somewhere where it says max hot do not overfill?

Everytime mine was low it just messed with shift points... Gotta get it up to operating temps and check with truck running and in neutral.. If thats how you did and it checked out ok I am afraid my guess was right on the trans being to far gone..

Edit: I usually have mine between ok and max.. Right in the middle... Cant remember exactly how many quarts a refill is after dropping the pan.. You did use ATF +4 only right?

ok i know someone punch me but it was 3 qrts low (2 1/2 quarts after the the drive put it at ok mark) took to the top of my driveway(very very steep) stopped an it pulled right up it in D did it a few times for good mesures an it pulled every time my check engine light is now off along with the abs an brake light...ill put some gas in it monday an take back on the hwy but im hoping 3 qrts low was my problem..because the first time i drove it a lil while ago it was a different problem than to begin with it pulled fine before just shifting in an out ...time will tell...thanks HeyYou for the help an thanks dlyter09 for telling me my trans was bad the whole time with no positive input

Never said your trans was gone.. Just saying that when your symptoms come along its usually not far after that it is gone.. I asked questions that were never answered... I even just asked you more questions... These transmissions in these trucks dont hold up very well to start with.. Im hoping that your low fluid fixed your issues...

Buy new shocks. If the bushings are blown, you can bet the shocks probably are too....
