Question ABS, Airbag, Speedo intermittent

So I figured it might be a long shot for help on this one since my situation is a little unique with the engine swap, but here it goes.

Ever since my external regulator fiasco (overcharged to 18v-ish and boiled the battery something nasty ). The ABS and airbag lights come on intermittently and I lose my speedo sometimes. Dash chimes and the speedo comes back for a while. Sometimes I will lose all the gauges at once only for them to pop back into place while running down the road.

Ive been super lazy with tracking this one down since the truck still starts and drives to work just fine, and it could be a number of things

So did I fry the computer with the overvoltage, boil acid onto the ABS module, or what is your guess here? I changed a few fuses with spares I had sitting on my workbench

Inputs always welcome

Bad connection somewhere. On the 98, all your gauges are driven the by PCM, so, check connections there first, and also on the back of the cluster.

Hmm. I had the cluster off to cover up the check engine light so I will pull that out tonight. That may have coincidentally been the same time I was putting in the ext regulator

The poor connection there would make the most sense!
Thanks again heyyou

EDIT: 50 miles later and no chimes or gauges lost
