Default Fuel Pressure at 11 psi???

My 2000 5.2 ran fine until a few days ago and will not start now. It rained quite a bit the night before, and the next morning would only turn over with no attempt at starting. I'm getting 11 psi at the fuel rail when I turn the key to accessory position. Do i have a bad/failing fuel pump? I've replaced the battery, plugs and wires, distributer cap and rotor, and the coil. I've also cleaned the IAC and both O2 sensors.

Pressure should be 49 PSI. Yours is way too low. Pump time.

+1 on what HeyYou said... Can be a pain though if the tank has any kind of amount of fuel left.. either pull the bed or drop the tank...

I would be willing to bet real money he just filled it up. Isn't that the way it always goes?

raise the bed. that way you don't have to mess with the straps or the fuel or the weight of the tank. and you can install the pump and test it before you lower the bed. use a jack and safe method, or some buddies to lift it.

edit - no personal experience on this, but someone suggested removing the front bolts and only loosening the rear bolts and then just jack up the front a foot or two so you have good access to the top of the tank. the rear bolts keep it from sliding. secure the front so it doesn't slip and mash you flat.

Thanks guys! Is there a good fuel pump brand that you recommend that would be available at one of the local auto parts stores so I don't have to wait for online delivery?

Got a new Delphi from Amazon on its way....be here in a couple of days. I broke a few tabs off the electrical plug trying to pull it loose from the fuel pump, and I broke the vent tube connection....any ideas where I can get replacement parts?
