It's doable in your range and as a tech you should be able to get a deal on machine work.

The biggest thing is getting parts that work well with others. Don't buy a cam that makes gobs of low end torque and cuts out at 4500 rpm then buy a m1 intake. All the parts need to work in sync to maximize results.
