2001 46re no shift past 45-50?

And there ya have it. Could be as simple as changing the O/D and TCC solenoid set. Check wiring and such before spending money though. The connectors at the trans tend to be problematic.

so if those solenoids are gon then the od wouldnt work hence no 4th. Solution drop valve body change wireing and solenoids. And if the tcc was bad just asking ive never exp. a fail tcc i would one here it or not be moveing at all expashally shifting fine through all other gears sorry for so many questions here

TCC is a function of the torque converter, also controlled by a solenoid. Need to make sure the electrical side of things is working properly, and take it from there. The PCM evidently THINKS it is grounding the circuits, whether it actually IS or not, is what you need to determine.

im getting lock up so my laymans assumtion is telling me that im not haveing torque converter failer. if i was haveing failer in the torque conv. i would notice this some how like not shifting and not locking and unlocking in my lower speeds

i can feel it lok and unlock so i know the pcm is transmiting the signal to the tc. so this would only leave me to think sumthing with od

Bad solenoid, bad control circuit, or failing O/D unit...... prolly gonna have to drop the pan, and have a look.
