Default School me on cruise control

What does the computer need to have in order for control? Accurate speedo, rpm, and of course vacuum.. Does it need to know which gear its in? or will it just pull the the throttle wide open if it bogs down at a low rpm?

Starting to get reeeally tired of not having it!

Computer doesn't care what gear you are in. If you start slowing down, it will add throttle, if that causes a downshift, all well and good.

Gotta have vacuum at the servo, servo needs to be hooked to throttle bracket on the throttle body, and PCM needs to be able to control the servo. All the PCM does is add/release/hold vacuum at the servo to control speed.
