Default Lifted bumper

I had a guy I know put a 3" body lift on my 98 sport but he never ended up doing the front and back bumpers I did the back that was straight forward. But the front looks tricky I can't really find any info for removal of the front bumper and I'd like to kinda have a plan instead of just taking off what I think needs to come off Any one ever done one and have pictures ?? The manual I have isn't a lot of help!! Thank you !!!

Shouldn't be that many bolts holding it on... couple main brackets at the frame, and maybe a couple side braces. You can get new brackets to reposition the bumper to match your body lift. Many companies sell them.... most body lifts come with them....

If you got the full kit, which would be by Performance Accessories, then you would have found bumper brackets for the front.

if not, then your kit is incomplete.

You having the Sport has different bumper brackets. Contact PA directly. You can even go to their website or look at your instructions to find the part number.

To remove stock bumper -- just as HeyYou said. there are 6 or so bolts on the cross member. More if you have tow hooks. There is a side support on each side. Unbolt on the frame and on the inside of the bumper. Your neck will enjoy the move.

I have the brackets I was just hoping some one had a diagram the instructions for the lift aren't very helpful besides saying take off bumper and install bracket.

You are making it more difficult than it really is.

Have a friend help drop the bumper. They tend to be a bit heavy.

Should the new brackets match the holes of the old brackets holes or should I be pre paired to drill new holes?
