Default Issue with 2001 3.9 NV3500

Came to a stop and was unable to get it out of 5th. Had to basically force it out as nothing else was successful. Now there is no 5th gear or Reverse. 1st -4th is awesome. Am slightly familiar with the NV4500 but have not turned a tap on the NV3500. I have many years working on Dodge automatics. Don't know where to start. Any push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I think reverse and fifth are on the same shaft..... which implies that fifth gear fell off, and the shaft is now toast. Gonna have to disassemble to see what the carnage is. Or, if you can find another one, just replace it.

Thanks for the reply. Now comes the next question. Does anyone know where you can purchase separate parts for manual transmissions? I have dealt with WITT on automatics but they handle no parts for standards.

I think quad4x4.com does parts for the grinders.
