Default Transmission leak- advice needed

I replaced the 360 in my 1998 Ram 1500 about a year ago. Everything fired fine on the engine side, but I immediately noticed a trans fluid leak from the inspection cover. The leak has not gotten worse and is most noticeable in reverse. I generally add about a quart for every hour of driving. I use the truck pretty infrequently, and it seems to run fine given that I keep the fluid topped off.

The torque converter came out with the engine when I pulled it from the truck. Does it seem likely that I scarred the shaft on the torque converter and have subsequently torn up the seal? I am hoping to get around to pulling it soon and wanted to have a game plan and know what I was looking for when I got it apart.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Probably just the seal itself.

97tn and HeyYou, you are gentlemen and scholars. Thanks very much the help.

GD-Truck idling in neutral, engine warm, level ground, although I am not as diligent about it as I was when this was a newer problem, which is the 2nd of 2 main reasons why I want to fix the problem. The first reason is that filling it with fluid all the time is a pain.

Thanks again to all for the help; it is much appreciated.

Just wanted to make sure you are checking it correctly....If you overfill tranny, it will run out of the breather hole above the inlut shaft.....leak like heck, and smog like a mosquito fogger. Don't ask how I know this.....
