Cool Is it possible to upgrade from manual tow mirrors to power tow mirrors?

Hey everyone. First time poster here. I have a 01 3500 that the manual driver side mirror is shot. Truck has everything else power except mirrors. I have had door panel off both sides and looks like the wiring harness is in place for them. But I would have to get control **** and if I wanted heat to work then replace heater/ac control panel which has heated mirror button on it. Has anyone else tried this? Thanks for any help. If its gonna be too big of deal then I will just get manual but I hate manual mirrors.

I would think all you'd need to do is get one of those covers with the control **** off another Ram, check the JY's, and install the power tow mirrors.

Not sure about the heated mirror function, if your truck does have factory wiring for it I wouldn't see why it why it would be a problem.

Might check to see if the connectors have power going to them though.

Ok I may go ahead and look for those before I order mirrors. I will also check for power to those harnesses also. Thanks for the tip.

Yes, I have done this. I found the control **** on ebay for very short money. Replaced the HVAC control with the correct unit with mirror heat button, again for short money on ebay. Sold my factory manual mirrors locally on craigslist and bought the heated power ones. Everything was plug and play.

You'll need an entire driver's side door panel.

Or figure out some other way to mount mirror control switch...

Thanks but I think I already have the right door panel. It has a spot where it goes and a plastic cap in it right now.
