urgent help 200046re problems

but it seems less noticable some times. ill try it. and now that i rember a couple weeks before it first actedu i mixed two wires when changein plugs and was stumped for a bit and thought i was a vacum leak and drove to my mechs back firein and **** cause it was dumping mad fuel into my cat.

Mine was the same way sometimes it would go a day or two without starting in 3rd at all then sometimes it randomly would mess up. Did you try unpluggin the downstream 02 yet?

Replaced both o2sensors and changed my tranny fluid and filter again def mech problem mad metal shavings every were burnt smell black fluid in the tranny. so i refilled with lucas slip stop and a new filter its working good when shifted man should last till this week whrn i get a rebuild and i wanted to know whats better the sonnax kit or transgo full kit. And doesbthe transgo kit fix 3rd gear lock up and pump in park. ?

Make sure you get a new TC. Also, I think Sonax Kit is better. I actually plan to get another tranny to eperiment with and try the Transgo to test it. And there is not 3rd gear lock up. The Torque converter locks up, but that is seaparate form 3rd gear.

Are you rebuilding it or taking it to a shop?

Well i have the option two take it to two shops one has a 3yr/50k warrenty and uses the transgo kit and the has a 1yr/12k warrenty and uses sonnax kit both around same price within a hundred dollars. Im going the transgo 50k warrenty route. And i hear that the trango and sonnax do the same but the transgo is also a shift kit as well.

There is a fair bit of overlap in the two kits.... ask if they are going to drill the holes so the torque converter gets fluid in park.

I am running the Sonax. Sonax does not prevent TC lockup. Maybe he was not clear or misstated something.

No my bad i was under the usumption the converter locked up in 3rd gear cause our trucks to be dogs ? and yes he is going to allow it to pump in park and the guy makes his own converters. And makes them for many shops locally and state wide. Hes very well know.
