Nice, sometimes the $500 trucks are the best ones! I paid $450 for mine.

in the process of doing my plenum. drained over half the antifreeze. tempuratures dropped to below freezing overnight. i put the truck in neutral to push it elsewhere on the driveway. as the truck shook, antifreeze poured out from behind the engine. i can't see where it's coming from. what could cause this? my antifreeze was always at above 50/50 mix, like 55/45 to be safe.

Is the intake off? There are coolant ports on the back of the heads, that are normally covered by the intake.... it could easily splash out of there when pushing the truck.

Toward the back, on the intake manifold mating surface. Normally are blocked by the intake gasket.

back to your trans problem with no O/D check your 3-4 accumulator spring. They have a tendancy to break, are easy to get to with the trans still in the truck, and there is an upgrade at cascade transmission. (getting ready to do mine)

looking to remove heat from truck. heater core doesn't work and don't want to replace it. is it safe to route the heater hose from the water pump directly back into the intake manifold instead of going in the heater core?

Just bypass the heater core, hook the hoses together.
