Default Engine won't rev past 2,500 in gear

Truck Rev's all they way up to 4,500 with no problem in Park/Neutral. But while I'm in Drive and i punch it, it only rev's to 2,500. I push the accelerator all the way but it seems like the engine doesn't even recognize it.

Check and see if there is some slack in your throttle cable, might not be getting full open on the throttle body.

Not the Tach. I meant the other cable attached to the throttle. Doing my plenum currently. it was just like everyone elses. cat just changed 2000 miles ago

That would be either cruise control or TV cable. If it is cruise, you can disconnect it and try.

Truck also has differential bearing noise, almost stalls when revved in park/neutral. coolant temp reads cold after i shut off and turn back on quickly, quart of oil used every 800 miles (probably plenum), tranny leaks from torque converter and lines by radiator, rattling when driving at 2000 rpm.

Get it reassembled, and remove the front O2 sensor, see if it runs better.
