The spring can be broken in such a way that it still 'works', just not as well as it should.

That many miles and STILL good compression? That's pretty farking good. A head swap will more than likely bring it up a little more too.... Yep. I'm jealous.

Yeah I have to say I was amazed by my compression results. That's the only reason I'm too worried about spending some moola on the top end.

That word will get you into trouble. A plugged cat will cause a misfire code for #6 and/or #8.

Pulled the O2 and no difference.

After checking the price on a set of EQ heads i am now really hoping that its just a valve spring. Cause im afraid i would have to go with odessas oe heads to save some dough. The cheapest set of EQ heads i found were like $300 more than the OE style.

Yeah, about 800 for a pair of the eq, with the 2.02 valves.... vs. around 565 for a pair of better-than-stock replacements.

Where do you want to make your power?

I think ill go with the stock replacements and use the extra dough to buy a cam, maybe just a RV cam
