look on ondemand 5 with the username and pasword look at the 99 2500 there is a complete teardown/ rebuild with every spec you need

Cool. I have a 99 but I'm not sure what year the tranny is though..... or the transfer case. Would I use the 96 or the 01? Should it matter?

Probably doesn't matter. There are some minor electrical differences between all of them.... but, for rebuild purposes, that's irrelevant, as it is just a couple electrical plugs, that you are going to replace with the correct parts anyway. Everything else is exactly the same. 96 t-case may be different, as the shift pattern changed, but, that may just be a product of the shifter itself, and have nothing to do with the t-case. Not sure on that one.

For some bizarre reason, I just can't get off the auto trans thing........ I am fixated. Obsessed..... stuck......
