Default NV4500/NP241 rebuild manual wanted (diagrams, specs, etc.)

About to crack my tranny and transfer case open and wanna be as well armed as possible. Google only offers rebuilt ones, magazines are not helpful and I can't find help through the forum search. I could use things like setting the endplay, how to determine excessive wear, and the like.

Look in the DIY section for the Trans thread by J415. There are links to complete rebuild walkthru's in there.
