For reference,
I have 285/75/16 load E tires. My truck is a 1/2 ton (1500) 4wd. I hual 2500-3000 lbs. in the bed at times; maximum factory capacity is 1500ish lbs. and I also have a plow hanging on the front (400 lbs.). I run 45 psi in all tires.
Normally if you dont haul or have excess weight (plow, etc.) the standard 35 psi should be fine.

The pressure on the sidewall is the MAX the tire should be inflated to. Read what's on the sticker on the door or in the door jamb. Should be either 35 or 50 psi. (My truck says 50) if yours is 50 your tires should be load range E and you should have high pressure valve stems
the sticker on the door jam is ONLY for the type and size tire....described on door jamb. In other words, OEM tires. Since OP is going to a different size/type of tire, it is NOT necessarily appropriate for his new tires!
And my tires list Min and Max tire pressure range...on all of my vehicles.
