rear axle swap

just be careful about drive shaft length, yoke connection, brakes including parking brake. width, etc.

the 2000 had rear drum brakes.
the 2002 had rear disc. careful of e-brake setup.

No, have to change that too, not sure about the master cylinder.

If he gets the rear end with disc brakes 16" rims wont fit on.
