when the truck thinks about starting. the rpms keep bouncing 400 to 600 for a good 10 min befog the truck idles up to were it can be driven.

surging idle is usually caused by a bad throttle position sensor TPS. (not IAC). drivers side of throttle body. about $40-50 at any parts store.

the only reason i know is that i used to have that condition but only in a cold start in cold weather. i changed the damn iac about 3 or 4 times before it dawned on me to try the tps.
