Default 1997 dodge ram 1500 wont start

I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 5.9l, my truck has recently stopped running at first it ran but it would run like crap and then i was pulling in my driveway and hasnt started since. It felt like it was misfiring but the check engine light was not blinking so i have changed the distributor and the crank shaft sensor i have new spark plugs and wires. It still will not fire im getting no spark and im at a loss i have done a test on the ignition coil also.

Please help!!!!!

Had a similar problem a while back. I went nutz checking everything. It would run fine for a while, then crap out. Tested the fuel pressure, and everything checked out. replaced a lot of parts and brought it to a local shop. they couldn't find anything. It finally died on the interstate, the only time I cussed the old girl. Changed the fuel pump, and it never acted up again.

How did you test coil? What was the result? Do you get spark at plugs? Pull disty cap and make sure the rotor is in correct position and it is undamaged. If it was not on far enough, you can break it and it will not make contact. See if you have spark at disty end of coil wire. If so, put it back on and pull a plug wire. Do they all have spark?

Have you checked fuel pressure? Air, fuel and spark.

Welcome to DF. Read this:

Might want to start your own thread in the proper section to get more people looking at it.

Was your fuel pump priming when you turned the key?

Just a simple one taking the wire off the coil and putting it to a ground to see if there's spark and no none of the spark plugs are firing and yes I checked the position of it and its fine, its been sitting in the driveway for over a month now I'm at a loss

If you get spark at the coil, but not at the plugs, replace dist cap and rotor.

There probably wasn't a need to replace the whole distributor...
You had fuel sync set, correct?
