Default lifting a 98 ram

i was searching for lifts and i couldn't help but notice there is options for a rear block lift setup, and that's adding blocks to the exsisting blocks that are in dodge pickups is it not? that's a little un safe and a rip off considering it's 500 bucks for a 3" lift that if that case i can make myself for 300?

I can only assume you speak of the RC lift. Please do show me where you can get coil springs, control arms, sway bar drops, 4 shocks, blocks, U-bolts, and all hardware for $300. I am intrigued.

Depends on which lift he is talking about. Some are just spacers and blocks..... Don't need to get really strange for only 3"......

i have 4 shocks from a parts truck, u bolts i can make at work hardware is not an issue also, coil spacers, leafs from a parts truck i can pack in, and diesel coil springs because spacers don't get to 3". $300 at most. you can do 3" without all the drop brackets, and back to my origonal qustion, why do lifts come with lift blocks to put on top of your origonal blocks that's not safe by any means imo.
HeyYou is right, there is 3" lifts for 150 bucks with just spacers and blocks, again blocks is that saying it's safe to lift with blocks on blocks or is it actually a 5" block, which is also stupid high for a block, and a rough ride.
all in all is a block lift pointless as to just making my own leaf spring lift? because like i said i can make u bolts, and add leafs from my leaf spring packs myself.

You can get coil spring spacers all the way up to 6". Blocks won't change the way the truck rides adding leafs will. Stacking blocks is not a great idea but they have sold many thousands of them.
