Default Re-spray Nerf bars

I was looking to re-spray my nerf bars (as the title said) on my 99. I was wondering if anyone has tried to do this at home or should i just have a pro do it. I was just thinking sand blast, primer and put a layer or 2 of roll on truck bed liner. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like a good plan to me, if mine needed it I would not pay anyone to do the job.

Might try the spray-on liner using an air powered gun...spraying on with this method gives better results and you can get it done faster! Just do a good job on the prep work

I son't think plasti dip would be strong enough. I used Raptor liner on the bed of my Ram. I woudl recommend that and if your bed needs done, order a little extra and do it as well.

Plasti dip would work for a little bit but wont hold up to the road debris hitting it. After all you dont even have to sand to apply plasti dip. I would go with some sort of truck bed lining.

I notied how easily my new set scratches just from putting them on. When the weather turns better, it is my intention to look into powder coating the tubes. As long as I can get the inserts off without destroying them.

Grab a can of rocker gaurd for 8$, scuff it up with some 120 grit, and paint.
